Scottish Kelpies
Bank Holiday Monday and not much in the way of sun! By not much, I mean none. Despite this I decided to take a trip over to see Scotland's newest visitor attraction, the Kelpies. The Kelpies tower a colossal 30 metres above the Forth & Clyde canal and form a dramatic gateway to the canal entrance on the East Coast of Scotland. Sculpted by Andy Scott, The Kelpies are a monument to horse powered heritage across Central Scotland. They are truly a wonder to see and with some wonderful walks around the canal and surrounding countryside, will make for a fab day out. It would be even better with a drop of sunshine.
